Elite Girls 5000

On the Girls side, this event has grown tremendously in terms of participation and number of fast times posted by the Elite Girls. There have been 26 sub-18 minute performances since the start of the event. 2017 saw 33 competitors in this race alone, with Freshman London Culbreath winning in a 17:13.89, five seconds shy of Courtney Kriegshauser's 2013 meet record of 17:08.42

Elite Boys 5000

The Texas Distance Festival Elite Boys 5000 is the premier 5K track race in the country. In 2017, 10 boys broke the 15 minute mark with the winner being Cooper Teare (NC) posting a blazing fast 14:13.26. Since it's inception in 2013, there 94 sub-16 minute performances with 20 of those athletes breaking the 15 minute barrier.
